Q. What is the difference between the Free and Pro versions?

The Free version restricts batch processing to a maximum of 5 images at a time. Purchasing the Pro version (a $9.99 lifetime purchase) removes this limit, enabling unlimited bulk processing. It also grants access to all future updates at no additional cost.

Q. Are my images uploaded to any servers?

No, they are never uploaded. SafeSquash is purposefully designed as a 100% offline tool. All image processing happens locally on your Mac or Windows PC, guaranteeing that sensitive images remain entirely under your control.

Q. How does Exif metadata removal work?

Simply toggle on the "Remove Exif" option before compressing. The app will cleanly strip away potentially private information embedded in your photos, such as GPS coordinates, camera model information, and capture dates.

Q. What image formats are supported?

We currently accept JPG, PNG, and the next-generation WebP format for both input and output. The Pro version supports full quality exports, including transparent WebP support.
